Oh, I know. What’s all this about? you ask. Well, I’ll tell you.

My real name is Sarah Flewelling, and I’m a student at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania. I’ll be studying abroad from 2009-2010 in the awesome nation of Japan! I’m thrilled – it’s going to be the adventure of a lifetime!

I’m currently staying on summer break in my amazing home state of Maine, and I’ll be leaving the Portland Airport for Japan on August 31, 2009. Woohoo! Then the adventure will begin.

Why Japan? You ask. Well, I’ll blog about that. One of the reasons I’m studying abroad is because I’m an International Studies/Asian Studies double major, which is loads of fun. But I’ll be taking classes in Japan at Kansai Gaidai University, where I’ll be staying. It’s in Hirakata City, in between the triangle of Kyoto, Osaka, and Nara, major cultural centers.  See the map for details.
